A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature
​Arizona Science Center guests can experience A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature, an interactive and immersive new exhibition that exposes and explains the mathematical patterns that abound in the natural world. A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature is generously supported locally by APS and located in the Sybil B. Harrington Gallery.
Guests will explore a seemingly infinite repeating pattern of mirrors in this exhibition created by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry (MSI). Navigating through twists and turns and around dead ends, maze explorers will ultimately discover a small secret room with bonus puzzles, imagery and artifacts.
This exhibition allows guests of all ages to see the world in a new way, through the mathematical patterns that surround us—from the nested spirals of a sunflower’s seeds, to the blood vessels in our eyes, to the spots on a giraffe’s fur and skin.

Verde Canyon Railroad Starlight Rides & Historic Jerome Tour
Embark upon this tour of the Verde Valley, including Jerome and the Verde Canyon Railroad. Take a tour of the historic ghost town of Jerome, a tour of the Copper Art Museum in Clarkdale, as well as stunning night time views from your first class seat on the Verde Canyon Railroad. 
On select Saturday evenings, the Verde Canyon Railroad departs the depot at 5:30 p.m.. As it rumbles through the Canyon, the low slant of sun bathes the high cliffs in soft golden hues. The train reaches the turn-around point of Perkinsville amid a scandalous sunset. The return trip offers a serene glimpse into the nocturnal wildlife set against a dazzling canvas of celestial bodies. As the sun slips behind distant mountains, cool air sweeps through the Canyon signaling the resident wildlife to begin their nightly rounds.

MESSY FEST

​The overwhelmingly popular “Bodies Revealed” exhibit explores the human body in an intimate and informative way, giving visitors an unprecedented way to view “what lies beneath” the surface of the skin.
Developed by Premier Exhibitions, Inc., “Bodies Revealed” provides an in-depth view of the beautifully complex and intricate network of internal organs and systems in a very up-close and personal way. The exhibition displays more than 200 whole and partial human body specimens that have been preserved by a revolutionary technique called “Polymer Preservation,” which can take more than a year to prepare and intricately showcases the complexity of the body’s bones, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and organs. “Bodies Revealed” leads guests through nine self-guided galleries, each one a precise and detailed look into a specific part of the body, its functions and its importance to the rest of the body. The galleries include: The Skeletal System; Muscles and the Nervous System; Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary, Reproductive, Endocrine and Circulatory Systems; Fetal Development; and Treated Body.
